Centered on Jesus Christ

First Baptist Church of Francesville is a community of believers committed to knowing Jesus Christ, growing in God’s Word, and sharing the hope of the Gospel with others. We gather to worship God, study the Scriptures, encourage one another, and grow together as followers of Christ. Our desire is to be a church where people of every age can deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and use their gifts to serve God and others. We believe the church should be a place where truth is taught, grace is demonstrated, and Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do.

Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the trustworthy authority for what we believe and how we live.

God

We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Lord of all things.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and is the only way of salvation.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace. We are saved from sin through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, not by our own good works.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, helping us understand God’s truth, grow in Christlike character, and live faithfully for God.

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ. Believers are called to worship together, learn from God’s Word, encourage one another, serve others, and share the Gospel with the world.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe baptism is an act of obedience for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, publicly identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection. We observe the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice for us.

Christ’s Return

We believe Jesus Christ will return, and that those who belong to Him have the certain hope of eternal life with God.
